Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Little Owl and Long-eared Owl

I run a British Owl photography workshop in Hampshire in Autumn and this one day workshop will be geared to working on a number of birds such as Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Little Owl and Long-eared Owl all in natural setting providing the perfect backdrop for these spectacular birds. Our falconer Pete is excellent with his birds and really understands the needs of wildlife photographers as he is an accomplished photographer himself with years of experience of working with his birds.

Venue and Time

There are ample car parking spaces at the place where we photograph the Owls so you will need to be at the location at 9.00 am. A separate itinerary with the details will be emailed to you when you book on the workshop. As soon as everyone has arrived, we will then have a short briefing and then walk to the location for the workshop. Set-ups will already be in place and we will work with each bird in a variety of different settings, giving a very varied portfolio throughout the day.

Programme

All photographic standards are welcome, and you can be assured of individual tuition. If you have any questions on the day then please ask as I am here to help, some people do feel uncomfortable asking questions in a group, but we are all here to learn different techniques.

We will break for lunch between 12.00 – 13:00 hrs. Please bring your own pack lunch or alternatively there is a shop on site where you can buy food from there. I would suggest you bring a flask of tea or coffee as there is no cafeteria on site either. The workshop is scheduled to finish at around 16:00 hrs.

The birds could change as we must take into account whether they are moulting or healthy enough for the given day, but we have four species of birds to work with on the day from this selection, Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Little Owl and Long-eared Owl.
